The Show is a live internet radio broadcast where we discuss CakePHP-related topics and answer questions live via IRC.
The Show was conceived after core developer Nate Abele and I recorded a podcast for php|architect with our good friend Paul Reinheimer. We had so much fun doing the podcast, that we decided to keep it going for the CakePHP community. The Show was born.

Pilot: Introduction to CakePHP 1.2
In our pilot episode of The Show, Jeff Loiselle (phishy) interviews Nate Abele (_nate_). They discuss the differences between CakePHP 1.1 and 1.2, FormHelper, the new manual, schema migrations, data sources, consoles and shells, validation, and pagination. Halfway through the show, Nate calls Garrett Woodworth to discuss the new authentication and authorization features. They further dive into some of the new advanced caching engines, sessions, resource type request handlers, performance hacking, SQL responsibility, and intelligent design philosophy.

Maybe try shooting for 64kbps mono. 65MB is a bit salty for an hour of spoken word content. Anyway, I'll load this up and have a listen tomorrow. Thanks!

Awesome, good stuff nate, good to know some rare gems hidden inside 1.2 .. what about a small Flash podcast stream player embedded in page?

I agree with taylor.luk - can we get something embedded in the page that we can control? The main thing I noticed (didn't listen to it all) was the volume level seemed a bit low. I had to turn it up pretty loud to hear anything. Love the idea, just think the process could be easier.
